Avalon Airport itself is in the heart of a unique setting; a combination of volcanic plains, rock formations, coast, bushland, farmland and wetlands.

To our south lies Avalon Beach, where famous scenes from the original Mad Max were filmed.

In the north lies You Yangs Regional Park, stunning granite rock ridges famous for beautiful bush walks with striking views.
One of the top places in the country for koala sightings, it is also home to one of the most famous koalas – Koala Clancy who lives here with his extended family.

At the foot in Lara is Serendip, a sanctuary for native Australian animals and birds and a fantastic place for a family visit.
